Frigorífico Modelo S.A. (Frimosa) announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Mar Austral, a company specializing in the import and marketing of seafood products, such as fish and shellfish.
This strategic transaction marks a significant step in the diversification of our activities, allowing us to directly enter the mass consumption food segment. With this acquisition, Frimosa not only strengthens its presence in the seafood market, but also takes an active role in the direct marketing of these foods, expanding its portfolio and consolidating its position in the food industry.
This initiative is part of our growth and diversification strategy, which seeks to balance and enhance the company’s different business areas. Frimosa currently has six companies in sectors such as logistics, agribusiness, and juice production, and continues to explore new opportunities to expand its reach and offer quality products to our customers.
